COLLABORATIVE COOPERATION

iCart greatly extends the scope and utilisation of collaborative robots with the MC-Series

The iCart MC-Series brings class leading levels of flexibility and utilisation in cobot applicatons. This new series of iCart enables seamless cooperation with the Kassow and Doosan range of cobots.

These iCarts don’t need any user programming. An iCart interprets data in RFID floor tags to identify stations and route information. Once a destination has been given to the iCart it can travel to that point without programming or user involvement. It’s that simple.

New tags have been introduced that identify stations where a Cobot task is to be carried out. When the iCart arrives at the station it passes the station number to the cobot to identify the work to be done. When the cobot completes the task it informs the iCart that it can now leave the station and can even select a new destination should in-station events, such as a damaged part require attention elsewhere.

This also permits the cobot to be in control of the iCart or vice versa. That’s what collaborative cooperation is all about; working together as a team.
